The price on my condo (#101, Las Brisas Del Mar) has dropped to $199,000.  A creative way to own part of a beach condo is Interval Ownership.  If there were 6 parties interested in purchasing 2 months each, the "investment" cost would be $34,000.  Monthly maintenance costs right now are $255/month and may drop now that the condo is managed by the condo association and not the developer.  Two months of maintenance fees would be just over $500.  I use to own Time Shares in in CA and HI and paid over $700 each year to keep those maintained.
