Perhaps you would prefer to wander through the banana groves or just sit and watch the beans grow. If you are a nature lover, there are many species of indigenous plants and trees, many of which you will never have seen before. Love birds?? The Audubon Society has a Christmas Bird Count every year in Chiriqui which is well known for the amazing variety of bird species found in the area. Many differing and varied species call the Island of San Pedro their home – it is in fact a bird-lovers paradise.
But, not only a bird-lovers paradise. San Pedro Island is a paradise period!! With its sun-kissed beaches, gentle surf and pleasant climate, lush vegetation, palms waving in the breeze and tropical atmosphere, San Pedro is truly a refuge from the harried, everyday world.
