There is a large enclosure for animals or birds midway up the property and from this point there are entrances to nature trails and the garden walks. From this level, there is a newly built cabin which sleeps four. The cabin is situated in the tropical garden and has magnificent ocean views.

Then as you progress up the hill you will see the most incredible view out to the islands and the Pacific ocean. Here the location for the main house site, which is yet to be constructed. The plans are complete and have been approved. This is of tropical design taking in to account the fantastic views and position with the spectacular mountain view opposite.

At the present time, a recently constructed guest cottage is situated to the adjoining main house site, which will eventually connect by way of a deck to the main house.

It consists of a large lounge looking towards barro blanco (the mountain opposite) 3 bedrooms, bathrooms, shower, kitchen store room, and laundry. The cottage has all mod cons, Internet, satellite TV, etc.

The kitchen has a gas cooker, gas fridge, hot water from a gas hot water heater. Power is supplied by generator, mains power can be connected easily and the cottage is wired to accommodate this, as is the guest cabin.

Continuing up to the jungle path into the monkey sanctuary, here there can be seen and heard the Howler monkeys. Here is where the hammock camp is situated. The hammock camp has proven to be very popular with foreign tourists and guests who want to experience a night in the jungle. The state of the art hammocks are fully enclosed and offer complete protection but allowing an awesome experience of sight and sounds of the Jungle.

The lodge now receiving more and more guests as the reputation for an exceptional experience becomes more widely known. There are 5 marked trails that lead off into the jungle for the guests to wander and discover.

At present we have 9 troops of howler monkeys living in the area and 2 troops of capuchin monkeys we also have a large range of other animals , and a huge variety of birds, butterflies and so very much more. We have been working in conjunction with Paradise Gardens, in Boquete, releasing their rescued animals and birds here at Alouatta Lodge and pleased to have witnessed so many successful re-introductions back in to their natural habitat and preserved environment.

The owners are at present, looking after 6 baby howler monkeys of various ages and have released 4 monkeys so far who are now living locally and seen regularly so their progress witnessed. They do not cage any of the animals. Any injured animals are housed in the purpose built enclosures.
